Irish Heritage and Royal Dublin Society – London Performance for Bursary Winner

The RDS Music Bursary has been awarded annually for the last 11 years, it is valued at €10,000 making it the largest open music award in Europe.  The bursary  is open to instrumentalists, singers and conductors, and is intended “to assist a young professional musician develop their career through further study at home or abroad; or for the purchase of a suitable musical instrument.”

In addition to the €10,000, the winner will also benefit from some key RDS partnerships in 2014 which would add a high note to any aspiring musical career. A partnership with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra will offer a 2014/2015 season engagement to the winner.  Here at Irish Heritage, we will offer the winning instrumentalist or singer a solo recital in London, covering full travel costs, in the 2014/15 season.

 

 

The winner will be announced in Dublin on Tuesday April 29 after a day of panel interviews with candidates. The winner will also be lauded at the ESB Feis Ceoil Gala Concert at the National Concert Hall on Wednesday April 30.
