Ava Dodd is recipient of the 2020 RDS Music Bursary

The recipient of the 2020 RDS Music Bursary is Dublin based soprano Ava Dodd.

Ava has just completed her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Music Performance (Vocal Studies) at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) and University of Dublin, Trinity College where she studied with Professor Mary Brennan (Vocal tutor) and Dr Dearbhla Collins (Répétiteur).

In September 2020, Ava will begin a two-year master’s programme at The Royal College of Music in London studying with Professor Janis Kelly.

Irish Heritage looks forward to providing Ava with her London debut in its “Showcase Ireland” concert on Wednesday, 21st April 2021 in the elegant surroundings of the Princess Alexandra Hall in Over-Seas House, St James’, London SW1.

The collaboration between the RDS and Irish Heritage is now in its sixth season and has seen a range of talented performers including Maire Carroll (piano), Aoife Gibney (soprano), Sarah Brady (soprano), Killian White (cello) and Kevin Jansson (piano) receive their London debuts.
