Irish Heritage appoints Finance Director and Treasurer

Irish Heritage is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Power-Hynes as its Finance Director and Treasurer with effect from the 1st January 2019.

Mr Power-Hynes replaces Laurence Cahill who has retired after 11 years as Treasurer of the not-for-profit, voluntary, performing arts organisation.

Peter has operated his accountancy and management consultancy practice, now based in Battersea Square, London SW1, for over 40 years. He comes from Carrick-on-Suir in County Tipperary. He trained as an accountant with E&Y in Ireland and is a graduate of St Mary’s College, Twickenham. He is also Finance Director of the ICC in Hammersmith and a Committee Member of the Irish Literary Society.

Commenting on the appointment, Patrick Lennon, Chairman of Irish Heritage, said, “We are very fortunate to have secured the services of Peter Power-Hynes who brings a wealth of experience of both the business world and the voluntary sector to the organisation.

“I would like to thank Laurence Cahill for his great contribution to Irish Heritage, he has provided sound financial advice and management as the organisation developed over the past decade.”
