Success for Amy Gillen in Feis Ceoil
Amy Gillen, the recipient of Irish Heritage’s 2018 Music Bursary for Performance, was awarded the McCullough Cup in the Feis Ceoil in Dublin yesterday (8th April).
The 23-year-old flautist from Donegal impressed the adjudicator with her performance in a very competitive contest.
All at Irish Heritage are pleased to congratulate Amy on her latest success.
Amy with harpist Tara Viscardi performed the world premiere of Niall Tormey’s winning entry in Irish Heritage’s Music Bursary for composition at last week’s Showcase Ireland concert in London.
Amy will be performing in a recital by Irish Heritage’s 2018 bursary stars at the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival on Friday 31st May at 12.00pm in the Dromore Yard venue. For information and tickets please visit www.blackwatervalleyoperafestival.com
