Successful Second Outreach Recital at ICC
Irish Heritage’s new outreach and community programme continued on Tuesday 19th November with a successful, second recital at the Irish Cultural Centre (ICC) in Hammersmith.
The series of recitals, delivered in collaboration with the ICC, have a dual purpose, the first is to provide high standard, classical music to audiences that would find it difficult to attend evening events and secondly, to provide a platform for emerging talented musicians and singers that Irish Heritage uncovers.
The most recent recital featured Sarah Walsh on violin and Brian Hughes on piano/keyboard. Sarah and Brian performed a programme that included works by Mozart, Corelli, Gluck, Vivaldi, Bach and Handel, along with film music by Shostakovich, James Horner and Ennio Morricone and selected Irish composers. Their performance was very well received by an appreciative audience.
Irish Heritage and ICC intend continuing the series in the New Year – please monitor the websites of both organisations for further announcements.
